The photographs capture Perry, 40, in a sleek black one-piece swimsuit and a shirtless Trudeau, 53, wearing jeans, on the deck of her 24-meter yacht, the Caravelle. The candid shots show them in a close embrace, with Trudeau at one point appearing to lean in to kiss the singer's cheek, and in another, resting his hands around her waist.

An eyewitness, reportedly a passenger on a nearby whale-watching boat, described the scene to The Daily Mail: "She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out. I didn't realize who she was with until I saw the tattoo on the guy's arm and I immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau.” The photos are believed to have been taken in September.

A Budding Romance Timeline
