Sanwo-Olu, VP's Wife, Distribute Food to Vulnerable Groups in Lagos

In a significant show of support for a social welfare program, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday, joined Her Excellency, Hajiya Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, to participate in the Renewed Hope Initiative Social Investment Programme’s Food Outreach Scheme.

The initiative saw the donation of food items to vulnerable groups across Lagos State, with the primary objective of providing much-needed support to families facing daily economic pressures.

In a statement shared on his social media platform, Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of the gesture. "While this may not solve every challenge, it is a step toward easing daily pressures faced by many families," he stated.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration's dedication to implementing programs that directly impact the lives of residents. "We remain committed to initiatives that provide relief, promote dignity, and strengthen the bond between government and the people we serve," he added.

The food outreach scheme is part of a broader effort to offer relief to citizens, and the collaboration between the state and federal government is seen as a positive step toward addressing the challenges of food security and poverty.
