Flying Eagles Land in Santiago for Crucial Argentina Showdown

The Nigerian U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, have arrived in Santiago, the host city for their highly anticipated FIFA U-20 World Cup Round of 16 clash against Argentina.

The team, who qualified as one of the best third-placed teams, touched down in Santiago today, Tuesday, to begin final preparations for the knockout fixture.

In a move to acclimatize and fine-tune their strategy, the Flying Eagles are scheduled to hold a training session at the match venue, the Estadio Nacional Julio Martinez Pradanos, on Tuesday evening.

Nigeria will take on six-time U-20 World Cup champions Argentina on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in what is a highly anticipated rematch of their encounter at the last tournament. The winners will advance to the quarter-finals.
